Genuinely curious… what were the pre-war stereotypes of Polish people and culture? What are the post war stereotypes? I feel like I should have even a vague notion of these things… but I don’t.

But there are (potentially) alternative ways you can get the mobility you need physically and blend in better if standing out and feeling like you will be (unfairly) judged are stopping blocks for you in getting the accessibility tools you need.

My own main criteria were that it needed to function on electrical power, it had to have a seat, and ideally a way to carry items if needed. I would switch back and forth between if I needed it to be self balancing, or if a 2 wheel scooter with a seat would work.

Also…. There are mobility scooters that look less essential…. But are electronically powered. I looked at those for similar reasons. I figured I would blend in better while still getting the mobility support I needed.

I would absolutely do it. I have been disabled and unable to participate without…. You use the tools you need, and ignore what others think. You will be better off utilizing a tool you need than avoiding it. Period.

Cowardly shit take just from the headline. Social justice education has absolutely not been hurting our children. It has simply begun to strip power away from those who would take it by force. It is our children’s hope for a better tomorrow.

If these people want to act in reprehensible ways, it should be in front of the public eye. Let them be judged by their peers and the law for their actions. Let them come home to a family who knows what they did that day.
