I'll second this. I tried roughly a dozen social networks when I left Twitter, and @hey.cafe is the only one that didn't just feel like a clone of something else.

It’s actually a good alt text for describing the image for someone with visual impairment as it gives a timeline of when the image is from… it’s a description of the image in question nothing more.
“A negative consequence follows” wasn’t a threat? I’m sorry, but with that alt text he was really pushing the bounds.

I don't care your position in a business, accept feedback, and don't attack people because they are not paying you. But for the CEO and person in charge this is even worse of a response. It's like saying "may be and then I will care".

Holy shit @jay.bsky.team you are fucking all this up! Ignoring the community but mocking people at the same time with your posts is a new level of low.

LISSEN to the community and have a clear dialog or admit you don’t care about feedback!

Instead of a public retraction, the Wall Street Journal quietly adjusted its headline.

Neither Emma Tucker, the editor-in-chief, nor the two reporters who wrote the original piece responded to my requests for comment.

US friends, please make final orders on my Etsy before the 25th August, so I can send them before the new ruling is enforced.

The removal of the de minimis is detrimental to worldwide business, I'm devastated I have to close off sales.

This is the right response to the Mississippi law from Bluesky.

"Age verification" laws are nothing more than a massive expansion of government surveillance and censorship. They make kids less safe, not more safe.

Get a VPN and call your lawmakers. Time to fight.

Bluesky Goes Dark in Mississippi Over Age Verification Law
Bluesky has chosen to block access in the state rather than risk potential fines of up to $10,000 per violation.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

The victim-blaming logic for ChatGPT and related “AI” tools has already been established. When the technology puts people in danger, even deadly danger, folks will say it’s the user’s fault for trusting the technology—even as the media, the industry, workplaces and even schools encourage that trust
