This movie is crying out for a serious, Game of Thrones-style prequel series.
Post a movie you like with a terrible rotten tomatoes score.

I just thought of another. Childhood nostalgia is a powerful drug.

Iain M. Banks made some pretty good predictions in the Culture novels.
It’s kinda crazy that we now live in a world where it’s assumed that computers will write better stories than you, paint better than you and create software better than you. And your competitive advantage is now that you can fix toilets and flip burgers while computers can’t.

For now.

I fly out of Salisbury, Maryland whenever I can. Quick connection to CLT, and from there to anywhere.
Actually, you know what? Let’s stop complaining for a second. QT this with a GOOD airport. Defend that title as much or as little as you like. But let’s hear about airports that don’t suck.

Last time I had a Friday glass of wine at my local vineyard, Dropbox announced it was leaving Delaware. Today, I did the same...and Simon Properties announces that it's leaving. I'm beginning to wonder if I can get paid to drink elsewhere.

So here's an odd one: I took grabbed a flask to mix a sazerac for someone who may need one. It was, however, half full--and I realized it had some old Manhattans I'd mixed to share with Dad three moves, one marriage, and his passing ago. I'm obviously not going to pitch it--but is it safe to drink?

This is a very niche joke, but we need these in Delaware.

Andrew's right. And AI is certainly helping with spam. I'm getting numerous emails saying, "I was very impressed to see your collaboration with [LAW FIRM] in [CASE YOU WON] where [SUMMARY]. Would you be interested in my list of client referrals in [AREA OF LAW YOU DON'T PRACTICE]?"

Note the implied paradigm: stockholders who support plaintiff-side litigation get extremely well-paid lawyers. Stockholders who oppose weak cases get little or nothing. This is how Delaware midwifed a decade of worthless M&A litigation, and why it is still plagued by low-value cases.
As for objectors, I think the objectors in Rural Metro (who were actually prepared to take over and litigate the case) did pretty well for themselves, no? Not a shock that people who object without being prepared to actually take over the case tend not to create benefits that support a higher fee

Dear journalists: Now, more than ever,

✨The lawyers need to see the actual court filings.✨

Yes, I know you summarized. Yes, I know your non-attorney readers don't care.

But we need to see the documents. The actual documents.

If you're pulling docs from PACER, use RECAP & give us a link. Please.

With regard to Meta's discussions to leave Delaware, I find it surprising that few people have mentioned this recent Chancery decision as a potential motivating factor.

For what it's worth, I hang around on Bluesky not because I agree with most of what's said here, but because many of the people that I might want to convince are here. Which is why most of the Bluesky folks should be on X, but never get in the way of someone else's bad strategy.

Perhaps @annmlipton.bsky.social is correct, but if I were looking for a proximate cause it might be the recent spoliation decision. FB has been a frequent defendant in Chancery.

Interesting trend in the Court of Chancery: the Court is more and more likely to deny proposed confi stips that differ from the Court's template.

Lawyers should be careful to ensure the changes they make to the template are actually necessary before making them or risk denial.
