#GameDev Scrambled image puzzle with live city animation as image. Still has cat theme UI. I move puzzle pieces very slowly because in a compress video it is difficult to follow what is happening if you don't know the game and are not moving the mouse.

Wrong on the second point. This is a video of a game of mine. I will make a free minigame with my bot city animations using this game mechanic.

#GameDev #DailyBug It was bug in my code yesterday and bad data in my placement of buildings. So here is a busy city with the building randomly but evenly distributed.

#GameDev The building were supposed to distributed randomly but roughly evenly around inside a large box. #DailyBug they are clumping at the top and the box is to big for the number of buildings. I think it just a setup data bug not a code bug. Hopefully I can fix it today.

Even more bots. I made smallest bots simple wheels since they too small to see their legs mofe and doubled their number. This game more small bots moving on screen and increase the FPS to from 70 to 150 because there no legs being animated and less triangles being drawn.

More bots in town. Added 3 sizes of a bots. Big bots are slow and easy to follow with your eyes. Middle bots that fill out the space and little bots the scurry around and make the scene look busier. I need more bots but I am only getting 75 fps in the editor.

Busy little bot town. Does it need more bots? Or would more bots make it look less interesting because there would be too many to notice individuals? I definitely need more variety in buildings, paths, and bots, also a proper sky box.

#GameDev #DailyBug Added a bunch of different town citizens. Unfortunately I did not link the animation right. So now it looks like an automated slaughterhouse for the animal run by the bots. Not cut cute and cozy vibe I trying to head towards.

#GameDev Lots of Bots. If you look closely you will see lots of bots scurrying around. I'll and add beavers other scurry around before the holidays but not sure If I can get anything visual working in time.

#GameDev Last post I had human walking along the path but he keep jumping off and doing forward rolls. So I replace him with a bot who is much more obedient. He starts in the upper left and walks over to the center where there is a ball. Another human job taken by a bot.

#GameDev #dailyBug The NPC starts on the path outside the top left building and is supposed to walk along the path to grey sphere on dark brown path near the center of the screen. He is not supposed jump of ledges even if does a nice forward roll on landing sometimes.

Had some storms recently. This fell across my walking trail 2 weeks ago. It is 80cm Dia. (2.5 ft). It has the initials BM carved in so probably not park services. Bridges out also. This not an official trail Any more so they won't fix it.

Added a group of building in clashing programmer purple. So the code for making multiple material sets is working. Maybe I'll try making nice look material sets next. The problem is I will spend a day on it and then find out I need to redo it all because I need to modify my code. #GameDev

#GameDev Basic code to make a nest of buildings in a sphere is working. 👍 All the builds are the same shape and same materials. The next job is to try different materials.

Still some edge cases to handle but the basic loop is debugged. Now that I can add buildings with the click of a button, here are 31 buildings side & top view. Then since anything worth doing is worth overdoing, 61 building. First 2 imgs are orthographic next 2 perspective camera.

#GameDev A couple of 9 building clusters with random placement. #DailyBug missing paths. I'm not sure it is a bug yet, as I have not written the code to check missing paths.

#GameDev #DailyBug Earlier I found a bug in an asset not joining up nicely with another asset. Now I have a real code bug and I can call my day complete. Two green circles in the red circles are door markers. One has a line which shows how to connect to the path grid. The other does not, a bug.
