One of my surprise favourite albums of this year is Jamie xx - In Waves, with it's eye spinning cover art.

Earlier I had a senior moment where I couldn't think of the word for "kindling" and said I'm looking for "tinder" - there have been many questions and much teasing since.

Feel The Observer are pricing themselves out at £16 per month. Please don't get me wrong, I believe journalism should be paid for, and I like what they've been doing, but feel it needs to build its readership to justify that level. The yearly price is closer, but would I really sink £144 to see!?

Spent a lot of yesterday catching up with Slow Horses - so good and Oldman's character has the best lines, so funny. caught up to S4 now. Also thought I'd give "For all mankind" a go - looks interesting.

I forget how good it is to catch up with an old friend, despite my hermit tendencies. Must try harder to be social.

Qobuz are too sophisticated for all this "music age" nonsense - another reason it's the right service.

Realised it's #AdventOfCode a little too late today - will catch up tomorrow. Haven't quite decided on c# or python - probably try the latter as it's more of a challenge for me.

Watching Interstellar with wine is a bit brave. For about a week 28 years ago I "understood" general relativity, not so much now.

Annoyed that the BBC is surrendering to the orange wind-bag, but can't say that BBC News has been going in the right direction the last five years. Will be interesting to see which way the org goes next - integrity has to be key. Both jobs are pretty much impossible to do in the current landscape.

Trying to record a video for a defective device - something that has failed repeatedly within minutes every time I've used it.
So far on attempt 6, no failure, one interrupted video for an international spam call.
Wish it was actually this reliable as wouldn't need a refund.. the law of the sod.

Surprised the Green's haven't reached out to Zarah Sultana. I'm a Labour supporter so would prefer her there, but Greens at least know what they stand for, and what they're called.

Watched the Thursday murder club. Quite enjoyed it to be honest - bit "made for ITV" drama, but quite fun.

Back from all-inclusive hols - suddenly having to remember how to cook and look after yourself.
Is it too early for tequila yet?
