I have seen #2 of my swallowtail yearly trifecta. The Zebra and the Tiger. Yet to be seen is a giant. I don't count the common or black swallowtail because I see those constantly and in large numbers...

Good night world...

I struggled for years growing Gerber daisies. But I finally got the requirements dialed in and can now grow them.

But this one has been spectacular with at least 10 blooms on it constantly. And it mixes with the nearby lantana so perfectly. I hope I can find another next year.

It is far too hot outside to grow most salad greens this time of year. And my seed starting set up was just sitting idle. So I purchased these kratky cups and am growing greens inside. I get enough for a salad a week off the first set, and recently bought a second set and those are just starting

Here is my #garterstitch offering. One of my many 10-stitch blankets. This was for my oldest granddaughter's high school graduation.

My lilies are putting on a show

I love this lily that chooses to only bloom for a very short time each summer. But this year it does have 3 flowers and we don't have any predicted rain to beat them up. So maybe 3 days of being able to enjoy their beauty

Loving my dahlias this year.

My zinnias are really filling out. This was one package of a new offering from Johnny's seeds. The mix was called Aurora. I just looked them up on the website and mine aren't quite the exact look yet. But first blooms on zinnias are often a bit different than blooms that come on after

Huntsville Alabama had a very diverse crowd and one of my favorite pictures from yesterday shows the passion is strong in our black community

My favorite picture so far from today. And taken at the march I participated in. I did borrow this picture from the Al.com website and their photographer needs to be congratulated for his amazing work today...Sorry, I went to find his name to give him credit and I can't access the site right now.

The No Kings march in Huntsville Alabama today was passionate and moving. It was well attended with as many as 3K in attendance. And not one person left even when the rain came pouring down... I was up at the very front, shooting forward so it doesn't really show the actual crowd in attendance

Lots of color in the garden today. I have always failed at window boxes until I put some I had under shade cloth and filled with shade lovers.

We have a 2nd garage on property with a small apartment attached that the last owners had built for a disabled family member. I now have it set up as a craft area. We added on one big room for sewing, and the sitting area is for knitting. I have a vintage settee and chair and a bug rug!!

My mitered sq blanket was done on 2's and it did take a good while to finish it up. I knit it the year we were trying to sell our house and move. It filled up a lot of empty time.

I am going to call this one "tipsy toadstool". It looked perfectly formed but the stem was completely curved so the cap was actually perpendicular to the ground instead of parallel

It is so interesting to see all the variance in these volunteer cosmos. I grew a solid dark pink and a white last year. Now there are 4 varieties from them crossing and dropping seed.

I threw a new package of seeds out this spring. Can't remember the variety. So even new crosses are possible

We had a clear sky night and low humidity. So it was a bit chilly this morning. But then the sun came up just as blood red as I have ever seen it.

Not a great pic, just shot hand held by my phone camera, but still enough to see the intensity of the color...
