I have seen #2 of my swallowtail yearly trifecta. The Zebra and the Tiger. Yet to be seen is a giant. I don't count the common or black swallowtail because I see those constantly and in large numbers...

Good night world...

I struggled for years growing Gerber daisies. But I finally got the requirements dialed in and can now grow them.

But this one has been spectacular with at least 10 blooms on it constantly. And it mixes with the nearby lantana so perfectly. I hope I can find another next year.

It is far too hot outside to grow most salad greens this time of year. And my seed starting set up was just sitting idle. So I purchased these kratky cups and am growing greens inside. I get enough for a salad a week off the first set, and recently bought a second set and those are just starting

At least something brought me joy today..

I think that one of the things trump holds over the MAGA congress is that they don't have to worry about losing their seat in the midterms. Behind the scenes, I think he is already telling them all that there will be no midterms...

Here is my #garterstitch offering. One of my many 10-stitch blankets. This was for my oldest granddaughter's high school graduation.

My lilies are putting on a show
June 27, 2025 at 1:21 PM
I love this lily that chooses to only bloom for a very short time each summer. But this year it does have 3 flowers and we don't have any predicted rain to beat them up. So maybe 3 days of being able to enjoy their beauty

Loving my dahlias this year.

My zinnias are really filling out. This was one package of a new offering from Johnny's seeds. The mix was called Aurora. I just looked them up on the website and mine aren't quite the exact look yet. But first blooms on zinnias are often a bit different than blooms that come on after

My favorite picture so far from today. And taken at the march I participated in. I did borrow this picture from the Al.com website and their photographer needs to be congratulated for his amazing work today...Sorry, I went to find his name to give him credit and I can't access the site right now.

The No Kings march in Huntsville Alabama today was passionate and moving. It was well attended with as many as 3K in attendance. And not one person left even when the rain came pouring down... I was up at the very front, shooting forward so it doesn't really show the actual crowd in attendance

this was posted by our counties sheriff department. I feel it is incredibly passive-aggressive as they know darned well who the "other" group is and why they are gathering. Visitors are way more likely to run into violence at the SunDrop festival than they are for the no kings march.

Lots of color in the garden today. I have always failed at window boxes until I put some I had under shade cloth and filled with shade lovers.

sour dough cheddar cheese bread is just a little bit "too good". May have to only bake it for special occasions...

My 10 year old cat has been sneezing for days. She acted a bit off Sunday but seemed better yesterday.

I looked at every pet health site on the internet and the #1 potential is kitty cat head cold. They all say see the vet if the sneezing doesn't clear up in 10 days and we are approaching that.

Does any one know if I can access, thru streaming, a replay of last night's live performance of George Clooney's Good Night and Good Luck?

I have googled and can't seem to find any way on my own. I missed it last night and am so sorry I did

We had a nice 1" downpour yesterday afternoon so no need to water anything. Of course, weeds are easier to pull after that, so one must do what one must do...

Today is supposedly going to be sunny but thunderstorm risks go back up tomorrow.

Just hope we continue to have rain this summer

So our house is filled with night lights. I still ended up falling over the dishwasher door last night, coming back from starting a load of wash in the dark.

I had wanted to have a load of clothes washed and ready to be hung outside to dry this morning and forgot to do it earlier.

I was so excited about the Indigo Girls concert tonight. But while we were in eating before hitting the road to Nashville, a text came thru cancelling the concert for tonight.

Someone important is sick, one of the girls I am sure. The concert will be rescheduled at some time in the future

It is so interesting to see all the variance in these volunteer cosmos. I grew a solid dark pink and a white last year. Now there are 4 varieties from them crossing and dropping seed.

I threw a new package of seeds out this spring. Can't remember the variety. So even new crosses are possible
