Look I’m not saying I don’t care. I care deeply. I just have very suddenly and unexpectedly hit my limit. As someone said on 🧵, I am exhausted and halfway to feral. If my daughter and I just lost access to the healthcare trying to keep us alive, I may be all the way there very suddenly.

One of the most interesting & fraught parts of #writing a #memoir about stuff that happened 30+ years ago is emailing regional theaters you worked in/saw shows at to ask “what was the name of that Russian play the three male actors did in Russian and y’all passed out headphones for translations?”

Finally feel like I’m making headway on this memoir. Took me forever to find a way in. Devilishly frustrating but also intensely fulfilling. #writing #amwriting #memoir #writingcommunity

Too many sleepless nights lately. Anyone else awake for not-fun reasons at this ungodly hour?

Honestly the way “the media” is tut-tutting about Bluesky must mean everyone on here is doing something right.

If you’re not watching Cross (the new Amazon series about Alex Cross), you’re missing some remarkable work by a stunningly talented cast.

Rewatching The Exorcist (the tv version with the not at all hard on the eyes Ben Daniels and Alfonso Herrera) because I needed something lighthearted and fun to escape the horror of ::waves hands vaguely:: all that out there.

Pertussis in infants is terrifying but it’s not just the cough.

It’s the fact that babies literally STOP BREATHING.

~2/3 of infants hospitalized have apnea (life threatening pauses in breathing)

Vaccination starts at 2 mo so it’s important EVERYONE is immunized to protect our littlest ones.

i know a lot of people are like "live for spite!!!" and i 100% support that if that's what keeps you going but if it doesn't work for you you can live for a variety of reasons, including "read book that isn't out yet", "love", "step on a crunchy leaf", "look at the river", "pat a creature" etc
