This email is in such bad faith. There are so many reasons to stop pointing to the ADL as a learning resource — including their misuse of antisemitism claims as a way to forward their political agenda. And as a Jewish person, I resent the ADL saying that this is marginalizing my voice.
This claim by the ADL that everyone in the teachers' unions who has issues with working with the ADL at this moment in history is "pro-Hamas" is so intellectually dishonest that it beggars belief. Shades of "You're with us or you're with the terrorists" from the Bush administration.

Basically any argument against democracy in the workplace can also be used against democracy as a form of government. We sacrifice some flexibility and agility for the right to have a say in the direction of our lives and communities. Worth it.

"Has achieving electoral political power translated into the growth of union power? Have the dollars spent on politics rather than on union organizing paid off? Does organized labor have its priorities in order?"

As educators, we are united in supporting every student—no matter the language they speak or their place of birth—and ensuring they have access to safe, welcoming public schools.

I wonder if we would consume differently if we kept in mind all that goes into growing, picking, and distributing our food.

We must treat workers and the earth with the respect they deserve!
Martin and Efrain are harvesting artichokes outside of Salinas CA. They do this by packing through the rough stem and throwing the vegetable over their shoulder into there bag they carry on there backs. These bags weigh more than 80 lb when they are full. #WeFeedYou

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol makes ~$50,000 an hour, has a private jet to commute to work from out-of-state, and was given a $113 million compensation package.

Meanwhile, our pay isn't keeping up with inflation and we struggle to get the hours we need. Workers demand better!

Can someone explain to me why fighting for policies championed 80 years ago by one of the most popular Presidents in our nation’s history make me a “progressive?” Also, pretty sure these are supported by a super majority of voters. Does that mean everyone else should be called regressives?
