Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 81st day out of the last 93.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

It’s more effective to give a check if donating to large food banks who can buy from Second Harvest for pennies a pound. A $1 can of peas costs $.16/lb. Plus when you donate items they have to be handled multiple times by volunteers & employees. $100 to the North Texas Food Bank buys 300 meals!

Not to mention not wanting to celebrate convicted felons who seek to overthrow a democracy, install dictatorship, subvert the rule of law, nullify jury verdicts illegally, release violent Jan 6 criminals from just sentences, and make climate change (among other things) much worse. Good for you!

“Let me make myself clear. I don’t celebrate rapists.”

Would you like to see a medieval landlord who collected eel-rents? Well then.

I present to you Robert, Count of Montain & half-brother to William the Conqueror. He's on the right. The Domesday survey records that Robert received 8,125 eels each year, from a total of 8 rents.
