The people getting laid off are some of the highest-trained and most specialized people in healthcare. They don’t just get replaced by hiring some new people when a sane administration takes over. This is a huge loss for America.

The last time RFK Jr exerted his influence over a measles outbreak (Samoa 2019), 83 people died, mostly children under the age of 5.

These deaths are all preventable with the MMR vaccine. Everyone who voted to confirm RFK Jr knows this & must be accountable for it.

My co-EIC Florian Krammer wrote this commentary in Vaccine on the need for next generation flu vaccines to have a NA component (the N in H5N1 or H3N2).

It’s a smart idea & safeguards against bad matches to HA & other subtypes that share N1 or N2.
