Somehow, Trump has declared that we’re under numerous national emergencies from the Southern Border Emergency to the Energy Emergency, Trade Emergency, Public Lands Emergency, and Immigration Enforcement Emergency. Yet these crises seem so “urgent” that he finds time to golf every weekend. Odd.

This is the final step on the road to authoritarian fascism.

If the President can rule by decree and cannot be scrutinized or reviewed by the other two branches, then this experiment in democracy is done.
If the Supreme Court ultimately agrees with what the gov't is arguing today, that the President has broad Article II powers that would permit it to deport people & there can be no judicial review, then literally no one is safe.

In 2009 the Obama administration said it wouldn’t cater to Fox News. The mainstream media, led by Jake Tapper, freaked out.

In 2025 Trump has banned AP from the White House because they won’t regurgitate his propaganda. Mainstream media response? “Yes, master, as you say master.”
