Unsolicited writing advice, no. 4702: Writing authentically makes you vulnerable. That’s because you’re expressing real feelings; real fear; real love; real experience. If you’re avoiding those things, you’ll never make a real connection with your readers. And yes, it’s scary. Live with it.
