Correct. This is self-inflicted except the inflictor is unscathed and unrepentant. As a result everyday Americans are being hurt as they see their retirement portfolios evaporate and prices for everyday goods rise.
As the economic news keeps coming out over the coming weeks keep one thing in mind: this is the fault of one man and didn’t need to happen.

Such an important victory for democracy and the rule of law. The Constitutional upholds Yoon's impeachment.

Our democracy maybe more mature than South Korea's but they showed us what it means to uphold the rule of law

DEI programs and people with disabilities did not cause the midair collision in DC. Trump gutting the FAA did that.

But the DEI program Trump is trying to blame was started in 2019 — by Trump.

On point.
The Republican Party despises DEI policies that put unqualified people in positions of power, and that's why Trump has nominated a weekend Fox News host who's never managed anything to be in charge of the Pentagon.

I dip in and out of #bluesky as most of my network is not here yet. I love that my occasional dips in reward me with humorous - if not depressingly true - observations. Like this one. Thank you @keesdeboer1.bsky.social for making me laugh today.

Needed this reminder today as I work through draft number 24
The most effective editing move is still the one I stole from George Saunders: read your draft over and over and over again, out loud, until you have to fix the bad parts because you will literally die if you have to read them more time

Hard to believe it’s been 44 years. We need more of us to imagine “all the people living in peace”
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do;
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too.
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one.

First, thank you @antonhur.com for this entire livestream thread on #korean #martialllaw. As a Korean-American, I hope America can stand up and protect democracy and the rule of law.
According to Korean constitutional law, if martial law is declared in a state of non-war, the National Assembly can vote to make the president stand it down. The National Assembly is gathering now.

We are just now getting footage of inside the National Assembly.

Bluesky, Smiling at Me
Bluesky has a hint of the old Twitter magic, but the feeling of freedom it offers might be even better.

What she said: one call to remind your senators of their constitutional duty. 202-224-3121 #democracy
Don’t throw in the towel. Rest, then call your Senator - Dem & Repub.Tell them you expect them to do their constitutional duty and have real confirmation review & hearings for Gaetz, Hegseth, Gabbard & all cabinet nominees.Don’t let your Senators give their power to Trump w/o a fight. 202-224-3121.
