I was delighted to speak to Richard Quest on @cnn.com about the Government's plans to cap ticket resales and put fans first.

The UK has a world-leading live events sector and fans deserve the right to pay a fair price, as is already the case in other countries that have legislated in this way. 1/2

Great to meet Dr Mike Merriman, Dr Andy Fisher, and Practice Manger Claire from Millbrook Medical Centre in Kirkby, and their amazing staff.
Discussed several issues including the Every Breath Matters campaign which you can find more information about here www.knowsleynews.co.uk/every-breath...

Thanks to everyone who came to my Supermarket Surgery at Tesco in Prescot.
Really important issues were raised including around housing, SEND & NHS. I will do my best.
Thank you too to Tesco for hosting me and the lovely staff.

Helped a constituent get their overdue Attendance Allowance approved, backdated, and paid.

Buzzing that this Labour Government is standing up for fans. Whether you’re on the Kop or going to see your favourite artist, a cap on resale prices means fair tickets at fair prices.

Next stop… surge pricing. 👀🎟️

Every state primary school in England will have a library by the end of this Parliament.

If your school doesn’t yet have a library or dedicated reading space, I strongly encourage schools to apply for support through this initiative:

Schools | Libraries4Primaries
We work with hundreds of schools across the UK to give them the training, resources, books and furniture that they need.

I worked with a local family to secure funding that made their previously unsafe home a safe and suitable environment for a child with autism.

Activate is a local gem, proud to say it’s one of a few outstanding specialist FE colleges in the country. Their commitment to supporting young people with additional needs is second to none.
Thanks very much to Jane and Ceri for having me and to the wonderful students for such a warm welcome.

I helped a family in my constituency who were living in unsafe and inadequate housing get a new home close to their wider family and their child’s school.

This #NCLM25 I'm encouraging care leavers to #TickTheBox on their UCAS form when applying for college or university, to say they've spent time in care.

This will make sure they get the support they're entitled to - from financial assistance to help with wellbeing.

The Simonswood Stink is making residents sick - affecting breathing, closing schools, and forcing kids indoors. No one should have to live like this.

People shouldn’t have to live like this for years
People in Kirkby have lodged several complaints over the smell and noise originating from a nearby industrial estate

Helped a constituent with her daughter’s DLA Mobility Award, which means her daughter - who has complex needs - can now travel to the school she needs to attend and to Claire House for her treatment.

A constituent recently was having problems getting compensation paid from a dealer who had sold them a faulty car. After speaking to the company, I got this sorted out and his compensation paid.

Great to help a constituent over a dispute with Ryanair regarding an unpaid settlement worth £700.

I secured £5,000 for the @MCSoccerSchools through Football for Change. The soccer schools Michael runs across Knowsley are just great.

I loved going to the pitch to hand them their cheque, joined by Lioness legend @liannesanderson and local legends Connor Coady & Toni Duggan.

One of my constituents was horrifically attacked in her own home and nearly lost her life.

Working with the police and the council, we were able to move her to a safe place.

At the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, we took evidence from Frank Cottrell Boyce & Greg Childs for our inquiry on kids TV.

I asked what would happen to kids TV, who would make it, if we had no BBC…watch Frank’s answer. 📺

Last week was Lorry Week! Paid a visit to local firm JMD Haulage. For 50 years they've been providing good jobs to local people.
Their priority is driver welfare. The stories they told me about the treatment of drivers is shocking, will be raising these issues in Parliament.

Great meeting with @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social to discuss education in Knowsley.
From SEND, to persistent absence, GCSE results, to post 16 education - so many challenges & opportunities that this @uklabour.bsky.social will improve.

Did you know…
🤕 1 in 10 retail workers have been assaulted at work
🤬 50% of retail workers have been threatened at work
🗣️ 3 in 4 retail workers have been abused at work
We must put an end to the abuse of shopworkers. Share to show your support for #RespectWeek 🔄

This morning I laid a wreath for Armistice Day on behalf of the people of Knowsley at the cenotaph in Huyton.

For our tomorrow, they gave their today.

This morning was the first in the series of surgeries on the Simon Simonswood Stink.

Thanks to everyone who came along, here is an update:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I laid a stake in the House of Commons’ Remembrance Garden to honour & pay my respects to those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Across Knowsley we remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to serve.

Lest we forget.
