It was great to visit Castle View Enterprise Academy for National School Meals Week 2025.

I had a lovely lunch with some of their Year 7 students, and talked to them and headteacher, Mrs Joanne Owens, about what they love most about school meals.

(1/3) It was a privilege to attend the remembrance service at Washington Village Cenotaph on Sunday.

The service was powerful and I am pleased that this event was so well attended by members of our community.

What we see online doesn’t stay online.

Violent pornography is putting young people in danger - that’s why we’re banning it.

This Labour Government is delivering a generational renewal nationwide to fix UK military housing, including 393 homes in the North East.

I am proud of this Government's commitment to one of Britain's most ambitious housebuilding programmes in decades, and for supporting our Armed Forces families.

Today I attended a roundtable discussion on Holistic Justice for Sexual Violence Victims in Russia’s Aggression.

I believe the UK must be active in ensuring justice and support for Ukrainian survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. I will continue to engage in meaningful debate on this issue.

I was proud to join Parliamentarians and victims yesterday morning for the launch of the DES justice campaign.

DES, an anti-miscarriage drug widely prescribed on the NHS from the 1940s to the 1980s, has caused irreparable and intergenerational damage. (1/4)

Am pleased Farage is making more speeches.
Every time he does, something new slips out of the bag.

Today - he is considering a cut in the minimum wage for younger workers.

I'm proud our Labour Government increased the minimum wage. You should be paid fairly for the job you do, irrespective of age.
