This campaign being organized against two women really proves to me that no one understands the vehement hatred a certain type of woman can receive better than other women. Can't imagine opting in to this kind of ghoulish work regardless of the amount.

I definitely feel like every country is desperately scrambling to dump resources on figuring out how to make GenAI be “something” because they’re terrified that someone else will have the breakthrough first and they’ll be left behind, and it’s become a sunk cost swirl around the drain.

I cannot express how bad this story is for generative AI. OpenAI is burning hundreds of millions of dollars to try and make GPT-5 a meaningful upgrade, and it isn't working. Where does all of this go? How does this result in anything?

reads: The Ways AI Decides How Low-Income People Work, Live, Learn, and Survive The use of artificial intelligence, or AI, by governments, landlords, employers, and other powerful private interests restricts the opportunities of low-income people in every basic aspect of life: at home, at work, in school, at government offices, and within families. AI technologies derive from a lineage of automation and algorithms that have been in use for decades with established patterns of harm to low-income communities. As such, now is a critical moment to take stock and correct course before AI of any level of technical sophistication becomes entrenched as a legitimate way to make key decisions about the people society marginalizes. Employing a broad definition of AI, this report represents the first known effort to comprehensively explain and quantify the reach of AI-based decision-making among low-income people in the United States. It establishes that essentially all 92 million low-income people in the U.S. states—everyone whose income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line—have some basic aspect of their lives decided by AI.

Dear Santa: When I was a child, my father cheated on my Mom. Later, my parents divorced. Soon after, my mother died in a car accident My brother and I could only live in my grandma's old house. Grandma's sister was an alcoholic. The whole family lived on my grandma's savings. Grandma recently died. My Uncle Andy is barely keeping himself out of jail from day to day. My brother left home and won't talk to us any more. Dad, now 74, had to go out to work to support the family and eventually he is going to want me to do the same thing. Yours sincerely. Bluesky user @endharrassment.net has confirmed that Kiwifarms is making look alike blocklists that show the blocking of MAGA, Nazis, etc, and slipped in are prolific trans creators and other leftists. "This is the next phase that Kiwi Farms members have stated they will do - constructing look-alike blocklists and then adding popular trans people to them after the fact, once the blocklist is seeded in the community. Make sure any block list you use says who runs it"

Conflict drives engagement because it’s exciting, sure, but my happiest online memories were in spaces like Tumblr where conflict (inevitably) occurred but the people involved widely agreed on like basic human rights
