There's almost never a second shooter.
Pay attention to the language the media uses.
"We are getting reports"... could mean anything.
"We are seeking confirmation"... means they don’t have it.
"[News outlet] has learned"... means it has a scoop or is going out on limb.
Look for news outlets close to the incident.
Compare multiple sources.
Big news brings out the fakers. And photoshoppers.

Like yes I know it sucks to lose your grandma, but you also started going condo shopping a month later with the money she left you soooooo. 👀
When my grandparents died, my mum kept the money they left me which was only $750 😂 I could have maybe paid a couple months rent if it had actually come to me

I definitely need to get rainwater barrels eventually but I’m not caught up enough financially to justify buying them right now when I can just do it in gallon jugs. By the start of next rain season we should have barrels set up.

I finally started reading a book again… I wrote in my journal for the first time since February. I started chipping away at the trash heap my apartment has become and it looks slightly more decent. At least those are things I can start to balance and manage among the other stressful things in life.
