Well, I looked into it a bit more and it seems one of the sticky up receiver things is for monitoring ‘corona discharge’ from the wires. The rest is measuring the weather situation. The pylons were crackling, I’ve been nuked by electric corona (not virus) discharge

Thanks for that, they do seem weather station like. I should add I came across more of them, and they’re all under or very close to pylons, either coincidental or of course it could be the work of aliens : )

It was like an early spring day today. This was between the hailstones : )

During the Timex strike, the police were a bit stretched what with us and the strikers. They were friendly enough, and chatted away but I think by then their patience was wearing thin. It was the beginning of the end:

The police had the road trenched up at both entrances to the hill on the last fest, they called it ‘the ring of steel’ so we parked our vehicles in Letham and crept up in the dead of night. Great fun 🤩

Haha, that would have been Robbie the Picts event : ) Up the hill DIY fest was the alternative. You were possibly at the last of his village hall events. Both carried the same sentiment, to mark the original battle, both unfortunately turned into battles with the police.

The yearly free fest on the hill was an alternative to Robbie the Pict’s one in Letham village which fizzled out.
