youtu.be/3DB-uJ0TxKQ?... my other claim to fame is my friend at school was an extra in Local Hero, he bounced a ball off the Ship Inn wall in Banff. He didn’t make the Final Cut, I still think it counts.

Claim to fame, for a while I worked alongside a guy who had been a racehorse trainer. He trained the wee guy from the Monkees who become a jockey, before he rescued Thoroubreds. I guess the wee guy (can’t remember his name) realised it’s a cruel sport.

Thought the Frickles were worth a punt from Aldi, utterly boufin.’ Like a pickled slug boiled in Dead Sea water then battered with a substance that has a really weird sponge like consistency. Boufin’ doesn’t cover it.

I saw a sheep upside down in a field today, hopped over the fence thinking it looked dead, bloated but with a bit of assistance it got up (not dead) and ran off. Never noticed the big bull until in the middle of the field, he was quite happy just watching. Nice bull.

For those who have the app, the podcast version of an interview Derek Alexander & l gave at Culloden during recent dig. Includes our interpretation of what we think the team of volunteers and archaeologists found over a week of hard work. Think a shorter version will go out on radio this weekend.

I quite like those marmite rice cakes, they’re like a big ricey twiglett. Nice with a slice of Gouda or Orkney cheddar, tomatoes and a good crack of black pepper
