I saw a sheep upside down in a field today, hopped over the fence thinking it looked dead, bloated but with a bit of assistance it got up (not dead) and ran off. Never noticed the big bull until in the middle of the field, he was quite happy just watching. Nice bull.

Dunnichen Hill, possible scène of the battle of Nechtansmere. Picts v the Northumbrians, but also the site of many free festivals in the late 80’s and early 90’s. It’s not changed much but access by vehicle is now denied and has been since the last modern day battle

It’s like this but flipped over to the right. The colours are brilliantly bright and sharp, the colours move within the arc at speed and kind of flickering. I get maybe 3 a year. Starts with a dot so usually plenty time to adjust what you’re doing to accommodate the display.

This evenings view after a morning/afternoon drive across from the west to the east. Elphin, Oykel, Bonar Bridge. Did you know Joe Strummers mum had a Croft at Bonar Bridge? One for a pub quiz. Cromarty, I do so miss the Gouda shop.l, specially the cumin seed Gouda.
