I have #MS. It took over a DECADE for me to be taken seriously by healthcare professionals. I had verifiable brain lesions at 20. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 34. Despite the fact that both my father and older sister had/have it. Until then I was just constantly told to “lose weight”.
#disability
It can take years to get diagnosed with debilitating chronic illnesses. Especially when you add medical racism and/or misogyny to the mix.

Something tells me people who don't have doctors that help them figure out what's wrong won't be able to get exemptions from work requirements.

Glad you're thinking about it. I'd like to be part of it and I welcome more. There are so many conditions humans are suffering from. We should be seeing some more of them on screen. As part of the brush strokes that make up the bigger picture. #Disabilityrepresentation #onscreen #silverscreen
Last night I came across this video talking about Arm Amputee Representation and it honestly got me thinking about actual Multiple Sclerosis representation in media

Absolutely.
Do some of my poems be trash probably.
Beethoven missed way more attempts than me and that’s why he’s a legend. I gotta keep practicing, the misses are where you grow and I haven’t missed enough

Anyone who's ever looked at the history of the Nazi regime and repeated the "First they came for the Communists..." verse from Niemöller, should think about where we are right now and what they are doing and saying.

Do you know a UK-based wheelchair user who works in a lab and would be willing to user-test our prototype of what is believed to be the first-ever lab coat adapted for wheelchair users?

We must #rvturn to this spelling!
I've always loved the fact that the word 'sneeze' is the result of a historical accident. The original form, in the Middle Ages, was 'fnese', but someone mistook the 'f' for the long medieval 's' and wrote down 'sn-' instead.

Fneezing sounds much more like a proper, nasal sneeze.

I believe we need to talk openly about these things without shame or embarrassment: tomorrow I’m having a hysterectomy to treat the disabling endometriosis that’s stolen the concentration that lets me write & slowly narrowed my whole life to a pinpoint.
So goodnight womb, you total nuisance bastard🖕🏻
