I needed to get out of the house today, so Dalton took me to the Sacramento Zoo to see the baby Capybaras.
Rocket passed away this morning with the assistance of Lap of Love. He was a few months shy of 12 years old.
It was such a hard decision to make, but his cancer and weight loss were aggressive, and he was having more bad days than good ones. I couldn't watch my sweet little man suffer any more.

I just hope that after this whole thing, we find a way to trigger a popular vote to remove a president and elect a new one in between normal elections.
I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

This month has really been a big reminder that you can do everything right, and the world can still just be like, "haha! No, bitch" and decide to humble you really fast from multiple angles.

I have very conflicted feelings about the character art direction... But I am SO MAD that this MMO is for Mobile and PC.
I've tried mobile gaming many times over the years, and it's not for me. And I'm just not a PC gamer anymore. I want a couch and my big TV.

Who needs a heating pad for cramps when cats exist? 🥺
He's hanging in there. His weight loss has slowed down, but he's still lost another 3oz in the last week, despite eating fairly consistently. I give him breakfast, lots of treats, free-fed kibble, and dinner. I don't know what else to do.

Sometimes, I think that auto-generated alt text would be an awesome, ethical use of AI, but then I'm reminded that AI can't communicate context or nuance.

I remember trying to get my own insurance before moving away for college at 19, because offspring could only stay on a parent's insurance until 18.
I was denied because they asked how bad my period cramps are, and I said, "oh, really bad. I need to see a doctor about it"

Oh whoops. I forgot to eat today because I painted the wall, installed a new vanity light (and added a wireless receiver to it so it has a wall switch), and replaced the medicine cabinet.
Next weekend, I'm going to prep and paint the drywall on the other side of the room, and replace the flooring.

The SCOTUS has reinforced the Tr*mp administration by blocking an effort to fund SNAP.
