I know this is a minor detail in the scheme of things, but I don't understand where these journalists are getting 'volunteer welcomer' from. Jay is St Nick's churchwarden, this was mentioned multiple times in File on 4... It's as if having a churchwarden under 60 doesn't compute in the CofE psyche.

I just want to know why this has opened in the garden of a church with openly queerphobic theology.

The vicar (far left) is actively opposed to LGBT rights, to the extent that she's instrumental in trying to organise special Bishops for churches that don't want anything to do with LGBT equality.
