My dearest wife,

It is week two of the Siege of Portland, and still these barbarians will not yield to our troops. We have severed the cords of their latte machines but they are making cowboy coffee in their camps, where loud ukulele songs of resistance even now drift in on the breeze.

I'm thinking about a quote by British author Elizabeth Bibesco in 1934, amid Hitler's growing horrors:
“The Nazi regime benefits from the fact that its atrocities overstep the limits of credibility.”
Today, many Americans suffer from that same failure of imagination. It could be fatal.

kgwnews on Instagram: "Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield joined a 23-state coalition demanding the Trump administration unfreeze federal disaster funds…"
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield joined a 23-state coalition demanding the Trump administration unfreeze federal disaster funds for the second time, despite court orders, including for emergency response after southern Oregon's floods. Earlier this month, a federal judge in the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island issued a preliminary injunction, ostensibly blocking the Trump administration's efforts to freeze federal grants, loans and financial assistance programs. This includes funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). However, the state AGs say that it continues to be withheld. On Monday, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek reported that the state has been unable to access $450 million in federal funds, including $24 million in FEMA grants for emergency response to support communities, including southern Oregon; last week's floods shut down and damaged roads, knocked out power and led to the death of one woman who was swept into a creek. The court order marks the second motion for enforcement to release FEMA funds. Read the full story by visiting the link in our bio.

Left the theater last night discussing this brilliant documentary. We couldn’t help but focus on what I just heard Jane Fonda articulate so well. “This is our documentary moment.”

Lyrics: Do you hear the people sing?
Lost in the valley of the night
It is the music of a people who are climbing to the light
For the wretched of the earth
There is a flame that never dies
Even the darkest nights will end and the sun will rise

DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸
