Even the Darth Plageuis book author was disappointed over this decision.
We had a chance to see not only Darth Plageuis in live action but also see how Qimir the Stranger begins to transition into the role as the first Knights of Ren with Osha by his side.

I’m still INCREDIBLY pissed that The Acolyte got cancelled. Leslye Headland understood the lore…deep down understood the lore.
It was also hilarious watching so-called Star Wars fans on YouTube be completely oblivious to the many ways she was teasing Hego Damask BEFORE he actually showed up.

Even the Darth Plageuis book author was disappointed over this decision.
We had a chance to see not only Darth Plageuis in live action but also see how Qimir the Stranger begins to transition into the role as the first Knights of Ren with Osha by his side.

It's been a major issue since at least 2017. So many fans don't even want to experience actual stories anymore: they watch recaps, reactions, lore breakdowns. And the more inflammatory the rhetoric is, the more clicks it attracts.

Every time I see more news about how the Acolyte was not given the space and time to shine and got cut short by Disney it just makes me want to make more fanart of it. There's so much depth and wonderful concepts from the show that I want to draw and explore. It honestly inspired me to keep drawing.

What happened to Leslye and the acolyte was the result of a system that future will break not only SW but also other sagas. Not taking into account what fans really think and stifling creative projects is the end of the road. The only ones who will gain from this will be *those* content creators.
