Nerdlegeddon has hit the UK as 600t of plastic beads clogged Essex beaches.

The "scale of pollution is severe" said Helena Dollimore, Labour MP for Hastings & Rye. "A continuous line of bio-beads stretches along the entire two-mile coastline"
and it's killing wildlife.

For the sake of our animals wild and tame,

For the sake of our kids' developing brains,

For the sake of those of us trying to stay sane...

Refugees, veterans: War-sounds are hell!

Ban fireworks louder than 90 decibels.

OK, taxi is booked for Sunday ahead of the 11 a.m. Remembrance Day cannonfire.

Where am I off to? The driver will rush me away from the blast, then back 10 mins later😆

PTSD sufferers like veterans, refugees & me have to resort to such ridiculous measures avoid being terrorised by explosive noise.

How many of us have been trying to boycott Amazon? During Covid, we saw how Bezos treated his workers. Then he boosted Trump's re-election.
Yet Amazon is thriving. Sales are up 11% from 2024. A whopping 67% of Americans are signed up to Prime.

At what point does a billionaire become untouchable?

Does anyone know the source of photo?

Thanks!

Middle age is all about finding balance.

For example, sagging breasts combine well with anti-gravity hair.

A lake that froze over every year stopped after 2000. Students lost a skating rink.

Families that BBQ'd on July 4 now have to stay inside due to wildfires.

Black-and-white, anecdotal examples of climate change motivate voters more than graphs that show gradual change.

One-Eye is a regular visitor to my wildlife canteen. He has trouble chewing, so I try to leave soft food as well as kibble.

Unfortunately, a cat always gets to the good stuff first and One-Eye's poor vision prevents him from eating in the narrow tunnel I installed to keep cats out.

Suggestions?

I was lying in bed, wondering how cannibalism fell out of favour, as you do...

Now that humans number 8 billion, it may end up as the only sustainable option 😆

I happened upon an Australian scientist who tackled this meaty issue with typical Aussie humour:

One of the most biodiverse waterways in the New Forest has become contaminated by e-coli, at 81x acceptable levels!

Guess who's responsible?

Please add your name to this petition asking Southern Water to clean up the mess and upgrade our wastewater infrastructure:

A discarded bathroom sink base makes for a sturdy solution to keeping cats and foxes away from the food I leave out for the hedgehogs.

I place the bowl at the far end, where predator paws can't grab it.

When the weather turns cold, I'll move the base under the shrub to make a hibernation home.

It's madness! 😆

Conservatives who cooperate with fascists because they think they can control them? History shows it never works out. They'll be mowed down along with everyone else once the violent regime achieves power.
