Avian flu is still a present issue for the UK & Europe. In the UK, the risk has been maintained at VERY HIGH, with more birds entering UK from Europe where HPAI has seen exponential increases in recent weeks. In the UK, since Oct., HPAI cases total 195.

Bluetongue recorded cases in England since 08/2024 show a level of clustering (East Anglia, Hull, South West & South East), but those record in 2025 (yellow triangles; BTV-3 strain) show a very different pattern of distribution. England is currently a Bluetongue control zone.
