Aaaaand it's DONE! Cordelia, my beautiful SD10 SwD School A, is modeling. The trim I added to the dress made it come alive, I think!

Just realized I haven't updated this in forever. I finished the jacket a while back, and have nearly finished the accompanying dress. The dress needs something...beads, maybe? Gotta cover up a mistake at the collar too, and beads would work in that regard. #bjdsewing #bjd

BTW, almost all the fabrics I'm using are leftovers from the flower girl dress I made my daughter last year. The lining is bemberg rayon, and the outer fabrics are silk. The netting came off an old Betsey Johnson shirt.

I was sad this morning, so kept myself busy redoing the sleeves and sewing the side seams together today. It's so nice when the project starts to come together! Now comes the outer piping and assembly. I think this will be very cute when done! Now, which girl will wear it? #bjdsewing #bjd

I finished my fairy queen. I went from not knowing what to do with her, to being the most inspired I've been by a doll. I just wish I had a better camera!

The dress is one piece! Hurrah! I found some pearl chain so I'm currently bedazzling areas with that. I'm going to make some embroidered fairy wings to really give it that fantasy air. Now, should I leave the underskirt that length so it peeks out, or hem it so it doesn't show? #bjdsewing #bjd

Macha lost a few eyelash hairs but otherwise came out unscathed from the ordeal with alcohol pads and tweezers. I really like her with darker eyes! #superdollfie #bjd #sd_macha

My daughter turned 4 yesterday. We took her to a dinosaur exhibit and she was SO excited! She didn't want to leave, and in fact sobbed her poor little heart out when we had to leave. Here she is with some foam dinos she made (ok, Mom and Dad helped 🤣)
