I’m noticing a sentence structure I’ve seen rarely? Never? in first year writers on their firstish drafts. It‘s a sentence with two verbs and three prepositional phrases, repeating several times in a short essay. I ask about process, and we look at the pre-ai text and the ai changes.

A friend just had a dmv person bend the vision test rules so that they passed the test for a license good for 10 years. At 73. I was stunned that my friend told me what happened, and just continuing to be frustrated by policies that cause a friend to see this as a win.
