The world has plenty of darkness, I want to be a light.

I like to make everyone's day a little brighter for having talked with me.

I enjoy anime, reading, cooking and sewing. I have lots of pets.
It's mulberry season in Qld, and I have picked kilos of berries off our little backyard tree 🥰

I've made mulberry curd (like lemon curd, but sweeter - and pink!) I also plan to freeze some until there is enough to make jam 😋

Loving nature's free food... I didn't even remember that we had a tree! 😆

I forgot to update: 21 of 24 eggs hatched! Highest rate ever.

They are super cute and growing super fast!

Three more days and I'll have some hatching jap quails.

I'm excited 🥰

Something pleasant to focus on amongst the worldwide chaos.

Our family watched Netflix 'Adolescence' last night.

Meant to watch one episode each night x 4, but we ended up watching all four at once.

Uncomfortable but extremely important topic, excellent acting all round. Everyone with children should watch it.

We have a cyclone headed for us tomorrow in SEQ (Australia).

Getting everything ready feels good. My anxiety has an actual target to focus on :)

When I feel like life is difficult and my emotions are chaotic, it is soothing to be able to grab a book and escape for a while.

Tomorrow is a new day 🥰

Our Japanese quails hatched yesterday.

There are eleven so far, and all look healthy and happy 🙂

Hi all, I came across this book today about fighting fascism.

Just simple, everyday acts of sabotage. Well worth the read, and free!

Please share as much as you can (safely).

I think the more that get involved, the more people will be helped.

I'm almost done with Facebook due to their recent changes.

However, I came across this, which I thought was very cool 😎

I just did 10 minutes of exercise on my rowing machine :)

I'm a little disappointed I couldn't go a moment longer, but progress, not perfection, right?

If I keep this up, I'll be so much healthier by the end of the year.

How are you doing with any health plans you have made? I'd love to hear 😍

This is 4 year old Chica.

She is a beautiful girl, very dainty and timid.

It took a couple of weeks to earn her trust, but she is very loving ❤️

This is Bikki, one of my dogs.

I'm curious if anyone might know what breed he is?

He's supposed to be silky terrier x mini foxy but doesn't look like the others I've seen.

My vet doesn't know what he is and is curious to find out - but the DNA test would be $200, so I'm not *that* curious 😆

I'm canning Roma tomatoes right now for spaghetti sauce.

It saves money, and it tastes better!

It's been brought to my attention that if we'll all repost the cartoon with her article's name and substack info below it, Ann Tienaes can better benefit with more clicks.

The last several years have been difficult for many - and this coming year seems little cause for optimism...

Yet I still feel a little spark of hope that we can start anew and appreciate the little moments of joy, we can make plans, and we can take the best care possible of our minds and bodies.

Sorry to vent :(

I'm really tired of arguing with conservative men on reddit.

Respectful disagreement does not seem possible there, and they just want to keep arguing when I say, "Let's just agree to disagree," once we've both had our full say.

It's exhausting. I've got to stop getting drawn in.
