This👇. During grad school I learned a definition of "political" as "regarding the distribution of social goods" - including health, health care, educational opportunities, the ability to access and generate knowledge, etc, i.e. the social goods being taking away from us now.

I will die on the hill that science, as an American institution is 1) political, 2) non partisan, and 3) foundational for a healthy democracy.

Today, EPA's Lee Zeldin announced rollbacks on key environmental regulations, including pollution limits for coal plants, climate rules & EV standards. He called it a “consequential" day of deregulation, but for those who care about clean air & water, it's one of the most destructive in US history.
