This is a great stage of a model. Undercoat on and all the details stand out on Young miniatures Fallschirmjäger Italy 43. I got this coz he looks like he's had a rough time and is smoking an oily. The MG 34 is heavily detailed but a sod to put together. Onwards. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

One Swiss man and his big dog edging closer. He's done, need to do the dog lead as chain idea looked poor. Dog face needs redoing, as he looks like a Scream mask. Then ground work,scenery,another first 🫣

First attempt at plate armour. Not finished needs dry and add some reflections and some depth of colour. Black base,lowlights prussian blue,highlight basalt grey then multiple layers of thin gunmetal,edge with steel. Then desaturate with a black ink wash

Day 2 of Big Dog and Swiss fella. Struggling with black and white on the dog. Tried to offset the white with a hint of yellow meh. Will return to him later. Started on bald blokes face and modelled the grey beard on my own. Meh again #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Always go full flamingo. Rommel had imperfections after painting so sanded and painted again. Decided to really go for the leather look. Coats of orange and leather brown. Will glaze black tomorrow. Then his leg fell off FFS #histscalemodels #scalemodels

When is black,black? Well when it's blackish. Rommels leather jacket is interesting. Base of black ink and then drybrush leather brown and orange(yes really) then washes of rubber black on top

Biggles done. Just need to attach the pipes & cords. Struggled with fleece in jacket and its too pink in the face,the eyes are poor. But the leather worked out ok and the straps turned out better than I hoped. May try this kit again one day
