Given the state of the world I’ve decided to run a scale model group build and competition in aid of Ukraine. Please spread the word and join in, details of how to enter the competition will be released soon. I’ll set up a feed on here and a facebook page soon. #ForUkraineGB u24.gov.ua
16 years ago I remember bouncing round a desert in a Danish M113 thing and joking to a mate that I’d prefer if we could find somewhere a little cooler for our next war and now here we are. Be careful what you wish for.

I thought I’d try painting these guys with a makeup sponge. I think it works ok, it’s probably quicker and more efficient than my current airbrushing and gives better highlights, the blending isn’t amazing but I think it’ll probably do the trick. #paintingwarhammer #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity

I like this, it's good to see GW taking a stand (although obviously one that is in their interests as a business), hopefully others will follow.
'Warhammer' maker Games Workshop has banned the use of AI in its content production and its design process

• A small number of senior managers have experimented with GenAI tools — none are that excited about the technology

• The company plans to hire more human creatives

We know that Putin is evil. But, this is really vile. All human life is expendable to him. I look forward to the day when he is gone.
This is grim
Africans recruited by Russia are referred to as “can openers”. Here’s a photo of one with a land mine strapped to him designed for detonating in a bid to "open" the 🇺🇦 bunker

Some “recruited“ as shop assistants/jobs in a shampoo factory find themselves at the front - cannon fodder

Tonight I managed to get some blue on this guy. I did the heraldry on the weekend and I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

My theory here is that the scouts are the only space wolves for whom fur fulfils a practical function - breaking up outlines and adding some camouflage. It’s also great fun playing with green stuff.

A few weeks ago I spent far more than I should on a box of wolf scouts. Having built them I realised that if I could get some cheap rievers (thanks Vinted) I could at least turn them into a squad of 10 and voila! I’m really getting in to this green stuff work. #warhammer

Well now that’s disappointing.
War gamers, modelers and more, peep the CEO @warlordgames.com attitude towards women and girls' interest in the hobby!

My jaw literally dropped and emitted a 'pfwor' noise when this came up, what a beauty!

Obviously I really enjoyed this game (because I won), having learned the importance of faction rules and command points I deployed them with reckless abandon. I think the key to #spacewolves is be aggressive, close the distance as quickly as possible and give the enemy too many targets to shoot at.
First game of #40k in about 5 years ended in a loss to @idlemrb.bsky.social 's Space Wolves. A few mistakes from me gave him the advantage and I think my list needs a bit of tweaking but a good game none the less. Hopefully the first of many this year.

Claiming this as my first finish of 2026, this guy is going to be a proxy for Ragnar Blackmayne and lead my blood claws. What do we prefer, with background or without? #warhammer #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings

This is so cool!
Today we’re launching Jayce’s Fighting Ships of Wolf 359
A project that began as an idea and became something much bigger: a community-run act of creativity.

The book is now public. It’s yours.

There’s something telling in the fact that my model making Facebook account, which I use exclusively to share and like model/wargaming content, is being bombarded with gb news and spurious Minnesota fraud stuff.

I think that’s wolfie enough! #nerdlings #warhammer #spacewolves

He needs varnish and some snow on the base but I’m calling this my last finish of 2025.

This made me a bit sad so here’s a roundup of minis I painted this year using or inspired by @sonicsledgehammer.bsky.social videos - thanks!

Nearly done with this chap, just the axe to go. My main lesson so far is ‘don’t try to paint a face with an axe in the way’!

I’ll definitely be buying more singles to kitbash and personalise though. #nerdlings #warhammer #paintingwarhammer

I was once described as ‘deceptively competent’ by a commander.
Forget insults, what’s the most unhinged *compliment* you’ve ever received?

I found this chap going cheap on Facebook, he needs some tidying up but looks quite good with the ‘wolfie additions’ I think.

Cracking picture, also interesting that they were painted in production.

This is a slightly different approach to a diorama/vignette - I’m probably going to print the base in fdm and the rails in resin, figures and vehicle are separate. Does the layout work?

Oooh, good question! I think it might be Logan just for the OSL

I decided to try some volumetric highlights on this chap, a third attempt and it’s taking forever but I rather like it. Not sure it’s a viable way to paint a whole unit though.
