The US already devotes more than 40 million acres to growing corn for ethanol fuel production.

If only ~1/3 of that land were converted to solar PV, it could generate enough electricity to cover the entire country's electricity needs.

EVs are increasingly important for car production in Germany. The country is second (by a landslide) only to China, where half of the cars produced in 2024 were (PH)EV.

Take a look at this figure and consider the impact on the German economy of 'reversing' and returning to combustion technology.
