When there is a single antagonist in a story, and a new character is revealed to be the antagonist (in disguise), that's not a twist. Its just...continuing to have an antagonist.

I played the Metroid Prime 4 demo and it’s worrying. Samus has a cold and frequently sneezes all over the inside of her helmet. There’s no way to clean it so you have to wait for the snot to drip off the glass. I hope she isn’t sick for the whole game.

After Silksong, the next logical project for Team Cherry is to remake Koudelka. Whether they follow up with Shadow Hearts remakes will really depend on rights issues.

My default reaction to any advertisement is to unsubscribe, so when the co-op emailed me about pre-ordering heritage thanksgiving birds, I had to stop, nod at my phone and say out loud "no, this is a good email" before moving my finger off the button.

I like to browse surf cams on really big days and I'll often see one lone speck of a surfer out amongst the huge waves. I'll shake my head in admiration, whisper "brave dude", and spend minutes waiting for them to take a wave. Slowly I'll realize I'm staring at a speck of dust on my monitor.

Donating to the local food bank should make me feel good but it doesn't. It just makes me sad and angry that individual action is needed - not because of a lack of societal resources to address the problems, but because of the willful cruelty of the GOP.

I'm convinced only a tiny fraction of people touting AI actually believe it's the future. The vast majority are performing an economy-wide pump and are just waiting for it to peak so they can cash out before the dump that everyone knows is coming.

I need somebody real smart or super high to explain Jeff Vandermeer's Absolution to me. It's rare that I enjoy something so much with so little understanding of what it's about.

I feel deeply ashamed that I just can't stay focused on Expedition 33. The story is compelling, the acting, writing and music are superb, the combat system is deep and challenging. But for some reason after an hour I just put it down and walk away from it for weeks.
