I hope you’re right, but it feels like he is doing whatever he wants regardless of law or orders or precedent or people’s livelihoods and any guardrails are being removed or just ignored. It doesn’t seem like we have a functioning system or the leadership in a position to stop him. At least not yet.

White people thinking that race *just* became an issue is either tragically comical or comically tragic.
This is an example of how nostalgia for the old days is simply nostalgia for when you were younger.
The idea that America was a post-racial society in the 1970s/1980s only makes sense if you were literally a child at that time and couldn’t observe what any adult was experiencing.

a theory I have is that while a lot of people say trump is "funny," he's not in on the joke AT ALL, and almost everything they interpret as him joking is him lost in a completely unrestrained narcissistic psychosis so extreme that normal people imagine he can't be serious
