I used to respect the BBC.
There are still many many good people working there, but now led by cowards and worse.
Robin Ince - well said.
Robin Ince reveals to last night’s audience at a recording of Infinite Monkey Cage that the BBC has forced him to resign over his support of trans people

Thanks to everyone (especially @adambarnett.bsky.social) for the suggestions. There were so many pro-Putin statements by Farage, we turned them into a Griftmas Advent Calendar bylinetimes.com/2025/12/10/n...

Infantino. Trump.
FIFA Peace Prize. The what?!?
Sycophancy with the emphasis on sick.
And no doubt the following day the US Marines will be in Venezuela bringing "peace".

Clearly been listening and learning over the last year. This budget much better than the last one. Keep it up and you will get support.
🔴The Good News in Rachel Reeves’ Budget

From lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, to taking on the media-backed gambling lobby, there was much to praise and far less to criticise in the Chancellor’s statement, argues @adambienkov.bsky.social

The BBC may not be "institutionally biased" but it is subject to censorship. Be aware. It is sometimes the news stories that are not covered that reveal this.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Nathan Gill. UKIP / Brexit / Reform. Paid to support Russia.
Farage also said stuff in support of Russia and Putin, but absolutely no connection, nothing to see here, move along.

On the 80th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials.
"I was only obeying Donald's orders..."
Trump just outright calling for Democrats to be executed now. (His previous post references a news story in which Democratic veterans in Congress urged soldiers to refuse unlawful orders, as their oath is to uphold the constitution).

"Waterboarding" used to have a different meaning.
Seriously, democracy is challenged when commercial organisations can bully politicians with seeming impunity.
Thames Water tried to make MP pay its legal fees of up to £1,400 an hour, he asked the Court to put TW into special administration.

Blatant attempt to silence MPs.

TW paying £200m a year to advisers, charges customers for its failures.

Abuses will continue until execs held personally liable.

Disaster for Israel if they triumph in Palestine. The Ultra-Orthodox will finish their settlements in the West Bank, but then wonder why Israel is not better. The US Evangelicals will be disappointed that they are not "Rapturing". Both will blame LGBTs in Tel Aviv. Civil war results.
The Jewish right discovering in real time that the Trumpist right, and the open bigotries it has unleashed upon the US body politic, is not in fact going to spare Jews, is quite a trip.

Maria Machado working for democracy in Venezuela. Well deserved.
Nobel Peace announcement explanation very telling. Peace is about a lot more than the absence of war. It is about free speech, freedom from being persecuted by legal action or militarised suppression and accepting vote results.

Trump is intent on provoking civil unrest, possibly as far as a civil war, so he can apply emergency powers, possibly martial law, and cancel elections and remain in power indefinitely.
Why did you elect him? He is toxic.

Yet another British business that used to thrive. There was a Freightliner rail terminal where I live years ago and it was busy. Now the company has been run down and sold off to overseas owners. Like so many. Britain has lost the ability to successfully manage businesses.
