There’s still time to call senators. Let me explain. Sorry not sorry about the cat. He’s also really upset about this deal.

Make no mistake, there is no chance that the House will vote down the Senate bill. The fate of the ACA subsidies lies with the upcoming final Senate vote and is thus in the hands of Democratic senators. We need a few weasels to de-wease.

It's clear that the Democrats are acting cowardly in facilitating this deal. But what are they getting out of it?

What are the expected rewards for this cowardice? What's the benefit to any of them?

For those who are saying the Senate deal is only through January. By the end of January, people will have already begun suffering the effects of massively increased healthcare costs. If there's another shutdown, the increased costs will continue throughout. /1

These Democratic senators are morons. The Republicans had no strategy to get out of this. If the shutdown continued, people would more clearly see what evil, destructive bastards the Republicans are. We, the Democrats, have saved them from that. They'll now look like master tacticians. /1

Imagine coming off an incredible Election Day mandate from coast to coast and going 'you know what voters want? to be completely sold out by a bunch of craven cowards too pathetic to hold the line against a bunch of fucking weirdos'

Call Schumer's office and tell him not to fold. No end to shutdown without protecting health care subsidies. 202-224-6542. #shutdown #healthcare

Not because of the fascism or the stupidity, but because of the boredom.

Grocery prices have jumped up, and there's no relief in sight
Groceries saw their biggest jump in nearly three years last month, a worrisome sign for inflation-weary shoppers. Tariffs are contributing to higher prices for imported staples like bananas and coffee...
