I was on a job in North Carolina over the summer and lots of the out of town crew kept commenting on how inexpensive the homes in the Outter Banks were and... yeah brother, have you looked up what an insurance policy on those homes costs, if you can even get one?
Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

There's a section in a later chapter of Careless People where the Facebook board reluctantly and briefly acknowledges that FB is the modern Big Tobacco wrt teens before dismissively moving to other topics. This may well be what triggered Zuckerberg's current mission to become fashion icon Joe Camel.

I saw Portugal. The Man last night at the Wiltern on their Shish tour and it was fantastic as expected but I especially enjoyed the unexpected video intro by Elephant Graveyard.

Submitting my 8,000 word article to the New Yorker: I follow Olivia Nuzzi around Salinas on her quest to find a raw spermaceti candle for RFK Jr's Xmas gift. I remind them I vacation with Elizabeth Holmes' former photographer. My grandfather invented cable TV and had an affair with Coco Chanel.

Script idea: Hallmark-style film about a NBA player who gets caught betting that he'll outperform his projected stats and uses that to self-motivate to win the NBA Cup. A woman he meets in a small town petitions Adam Silver on Christmas Eve to let him stay in the league. Stephen A. Smith cameos.

I shot that video of Trump flying the fighter jet. It wasn't AI and there are no VFX. He trained for 2 years in simulators just like Tom Cruise. We had a film crew of 240. It was directed by James Cameron. We used over 9,000 lbs. of feces. NYT needs to show respect for the artists behind the craft.

insane that we got so few seasons of bo jackson playing sports but you can kind of see why getting not very many seasons of bo jackson playing sports was kind of inevitable
That new Nike/Ken Griffey Jr. ad features a snippet of Bo Jackson running up the wall in 1990 and I think you could go all in if you wanted that this was the single coolest play in baseball history
