This year I've been pondering movies from the 80's that didn't age well. Randomly this morning my brain thought "how old were Baby and Johnny in Dirty Dancing!?" When I watched it I was 17 (Baby's age) and I'd been dating older guys, oldest 23. Now I look back at my teens and that movie and *cringe*

I was engaged to my now-husband for years before we got married, because I didn't feel right getting married when gay couples couldn't. We got married a little bit after the supreme court decision that legalized gay marriage. I emphatically support marriage equality and Kim Davis can fuck off.

People ask how some countries could just stand by while Nazi Germany starved and murdered millions. The gas chambers were just part of it, so many more died of starvation or disease. Well the same thing is happening in Gaza RIGHT NOW. People of all ages dying of starvation.

I'm tired and my head hurts but I got to pet two dogs today so... overall win? I posted in a Teams chat that dogs make everything better and 20 minutes later the SPCA volunteers showed up on my unit with dogs to pet! Strangely most staff did not want to pet dogs, which puzzles me.
