I guess I should finally actually do a post about myself. Hi I’m andordergen but most people just call me Radio. I was Rhetoricofmind on the stinky xitter app. I’m a dm for a lovely group of nerds who I’m happy to be a part of their game, as well as a gamer and a writer. Nice to meet you all!
I was on a mission to finish the main story of my first monster hunter game, monster hunter world before wilds came out and I did it! I basically scrapbooked my whole adventure with screenshots and now I’m even more excited for wilds to come out. Here is my last screenshot

Being a GM is just:
- Writing 100 plot hooks.
- Watching your players ignore 99 of them.
- Realizing the NPC you made as a joke is now the party’s new best friend.

I lost my cat in June this past year. It was incredibly hard we had been together for 6 years at that point. Immediately afterwards tho my friend at work gave me a money tree my first plant. I’m gonna be putting up pictures of my plants over time I’m proud of them.

I recently had one of my players meet with me because they wanted to hash out more of his character’s backstory. It ended up being a lot of him talking about mechanics for the character and trying to figure out multiclassing. So I ended up being frank with the player and said “I think you’re (1/ )

Checking in with your players to see if they are enjoying the game/story/system/etc isn't just ok to do...it's a good thing! Encourage honest communication about what they enjoy, what they struggle with, all of that.
Make sure you are all playing the game you all want to play!

A question for dm’s I’m still in the baby stage of DM’ing at this point. What are some useful tips on keeping connection with your stories? I love the story plot points that I’ve got planned but there will be times where I feel like I’ve lost touch with them especially when running my game.

I have started to learn how to crochet it’s going ok? Honestly even if it doesn’t look great it’s amazing I can just do something with my hands while watching things with my partner
