Saying that Merrick Garland is a disgrace and a major disappointment is an understatement, he’s one of the biggest failures to democracy in the modern era. A treasonous convicted felon is going to have full power of the US govt because he refused to hold him accountable.

Merrick Garland didn’t do his fucking job. I don’t give a good Goddamn how “nice,” “noble,” or “careful” people believe him to be. He wasn’t appointed to the Department of Fucking Careful. This country is worse off for him having served as AG.

Legal and political struggle for justice can and should go hand in hand. Sam Moyn’s idea that it’s one or the other is foolish. Had Merrick Garland moved a year earlier to hold the Chief Insurrection accountable instead of snail-pacing, the history of this dark time would look entirely different.
