I don't know, I think if someone needs you that badly you're always going to have some level of power over them, and the only thing you can do is not abuse it.
Parent child relationships need not be hierarchical. The mere reality that children need adults due to their vulnerability doesn’t translate to adults having domination over children, and in fact could be seen as an argument against it.

in high school my friends and I wrote and performed a one-act play for a class project wherein Joni Ernst was outed as “the real Big Brother” after vaporizing a hotel manager, and every time I see news about her I think we should’ve made her even worse.
