Stalin assigned political officers to military units to ensure that they were loyal to his government.
Trump pressured CBS News into accepting a “bias monitor” who will receive complaints against journalists and report on them to the corporate president.

9. Resettlements and deportations
Stalin ordered forced resettlements of about 6 million people, most of them internally to remote regions of the USSR.
Trump promises to deport undocumented immigrants who are violent criminals, but the vast majority of those arrested committed no such crime.

8. No jokes
Stalin’s secret police were on the lookout for people telling jokes about the government. Humor spreaders could be imprisoned for anti-Soviet agitation.
Trump cut a deal with CBS parent Paramount, and CBS canceled anti-Trump humorist Stephen Colbert’s show soon afterward.

7. Falsification of history
Stalin made sure that the names of his perceived enemies were removed from textbooks. He went so far as to disappear people from photos.
Trump has ordered the Smithsonian to report only “unifying” history and avoid “divisive” narratives, thereby covering up past racism.

6. Weaponization of government
Stalin loved show trials because they spread fear throughout the population.
Trump launches bogus investigations of his political opponents to punish people who try to force Trump to obey the law.

5. Governing by purge
Stalin ordered mass firings and executions of suspected enemies. His purge of the military weakened the Soviet Union before WWII.
Trump fires bureaucrats and military leaders who are not considered loyal enough to him personally, even if they have done nothing wrong.

4. Demonization
Stalin often accused public officials of intentional “wrecking” when something went wrong in the government.
Trump says Democrats “want to destroy our country.”

2. Police state
Stalin spread terror through the NKVD and KGB.
Trump spreads terror through ICE and the misuse of the military to threaten cities.

3. Cult of personality
When Stalin died, his cultists swarmed the funeral, with 100+ mourners crushed or trampled to death.
Trump's cultists say he was “anointed by God.” In a poll, 47% of Republicans said they'd back Trump even if he were officially implicated in Jeffrey Epstein's sex crimes.

1. Un-free enterprise
Stalin’s “command economy” was the opposite of supply-and-demand. He decided what products got made. Consumers could take it or leave it.
Trump deals with oligarchs to decree what products Americans can buy and how much they’ll cost. Oligarchs who pay off Trump are favored.

DOGE is just another name for SCAM. It was just intended to create more propaganda for the new dictator-in-chief. It will take decades after he is gone for America to recover, if we ever do.

It was just a quick and convenient way of breaking government systems and stealing data.
