Perfectionism is living hell when severe. So to whoever needs to hear it: There’s relief. You will one day be able to take less than 1 hour to write a 3-sentence email. And you won’t even find yourself googling the exact definition of every other word, just to *make sure* it is the right word to use

There’s something about a bigass plane that carries around its flock of little planes that I just love. It would also takeoff vertically and would have required 182 engines to do so.
Just learned about the Lockheed CL-1201, a nuclear-powered airborne aircraft carrier. Anyway this is how big it would have been compared to a 747-8 lmao

Also shoutout to the 85-year-old uncle with dementia who drove himself to the funeral home and made it there by taping the obituary to the steering wheel so he knew where he was going. Then when he got there he wondered why there were so many pictures of the deceased. These people drive amongst us.

Things got very contentious at this time in my life bc it was in my Confirmation program that it finally dawned on me that I didn’t believe in a Christian God but my parents pulled the “your grandma will be crushed if you don’t get confirmed” so I decided if I really had to I’d do it my way lol
Fun fact I picked Lucia as my confirmation name because of how fucking metal her iconography is (eyes on a plate). She got them from god because she gouged her’s out, which is also fucking metal.

I liked Tom Holland’s Rubicon esp as my intro to the Fall of the Roman Republic. My historian followers will cringe. But I think Rubicon gave a really compelling and page-turning narrative and introduced me to a part of history I didn’t know I would become so interested in and explore more.
