same goes up here in northern turtle island. help your local trans mutual aid collective. there are already businesses donating to big charities, but these can only do so much (versus community initiatives — which are much more feisty in general).
donating to national 501c3s is cool but what if you donated to your local trans support spaces that don’t have the reach to get millions to spend on advertising to get millions more

I said this to a friend yesterday — but as anonymous cities are, they’re also dense and have meaningful connections at the neighborhood/ local level. (What makes gentrification so damaging). I believe in the protective power of that, and hope time doesn’t prove me wrong.
