If companies have to contribute to transmission costs & bring their own renewables/storage, this isn't true. Re: ethical...we think that machine learning has many genuinely useful functions (in energy, in medicine, etc.). Happily, THAT kind of AI is also nowhere near as energy-hungry as LLM's are.
