Recognizing that long Covid exists would also mean recognizing that there was a bipartisan effort to allow as many people in the population as possible to get sick all so the wealthy could maintain their wealth.
Both parties are complicit in forcing us into an inhuman and eugenicist situation.
Long Covid Is Real — And It’s Changing an Entire Generation

Hundreds of thousands of kids in America are struggling with an illness that many doctors and schools refuse to recognize.e

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

“Vaccine skeptics” are not skeptics of vaccines or anything at all, because knowledge isn’t the point. Deceit is. They’re liars. They’re cheats. And anyone who’s using the phrase “vaccine skeptics” is asking you to ignore that while advancing the lies and undermining the truth.

AI companies are constantly trying to deceive the public of its env & climate impacts. Each day we learn new info on how harmful AI is on ecosystems. This will only get worse as AI firms create partnerships w/ fossil fuel companies.

Keep hammering this angle (along w/ the many social & econ harms)

some more thumbs vs pages for you!

Thumbs used to be much harder for me until I realized it helps me to NOT think of them as my first draft of pencils. I treat thumbs as semiotic symbols that /represent/ the thing I'm drawing, but AREN'T the thing I'm drawing. (🧵1/3)

Freaking love Pete Buttigieg 🤣….he needs to get out there and run for that Michigan senate seat and then it’s on to the White House

Ok I think I've finally got this figured out: I make 6 calls a day, one to each congressperson/senator's office in both DC and in CA. One issue per day makes it easier for them to log it. I keep it brief after I state my constituent info; eg: "Don't let them take my Social Security, thanks, bye."

Watching Trump and Vance team up and shout down Zelensky to bully him into letting Putin take his country is one of the more horrible things I've watched in a long time. #NotMyPresident

I love middle grade graphic novel Wildful so much, I sent my mom a copy for her birthday. It captured the sense of wonder in the natural world my parents instilled in us. Kengo Kurimoto has created a book that we will all treasure. #kidlit #graphicnovel
