I literally walked in to see this on the TV and thought 'wow, that guy really looks like Richard Gere.'
30 minutes ahead of a confidence vote that could trigger the collapse of the Carney Government and Richard Gere has arrived on Parliament Hill to put things in perspective

Sorry, is the CPC line that the PM is firing the PBO? The interim guy?

I took a class on Westminster politics and the ease with which other Westminster states can replace their leaders is quite something
Canada and Australia share the same parliamentary system but could 1 in 100 cdn parliamentarians comprehend this post? It means the Liberal caucus in the Oz state of Victoria will decide in the morning whether to hire or replace their leader. Totally normal process. Except here! #cndpoli
JUST IN: ABC Radio Melbourne (3LO) is reporting that there will be a leadership spill tomorrow for Vic Liberal leadership, host/journalist Ali Moore just stated on 774kHz AM.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

I'm fascinated by this Swiss Chalet commercial about the festive special, because it seems like this family only eats at Swiss Chalet once a year

And today, at the school assembly, my kid sang the national anthem and placed a wreath
My Granny was born in 1899. She grew up not far from where I now live, and my kid is going to the same high school that she did, same building. She was 19 when the war ended, and she told my dad once that between the flu pandemic and the war, more than half of her class had died before graduation.

Not having access to money is going to make people think about their money more
There’s growing concern among grocery stores, restaurants and food producers, as some economists say the lapse SNAP payments is likely to cause lower-income households to scrutinize their spending more.
With SNAP on Hold, Low-Income Shoppers Cut Back and Businesses Worry
A delay in SNAP benefits mixed with a decline in foot traffic has many stores, restaurants and food producers concerned about sales.

This is my confusion – it's a travel day, who is going to be there?
It’s very, very unusual that they would hold any vote on a Friday, let alone a vote they have deemed to be a confidence vote.
The Liberal government faces 2 confidence votes in the next 27 hours — tied to Conservative and Bloc Québécois amendments to the federal budget.

Today's vote: 5:45 p.m.

Tomorrow's vote: 1:45 p.m.
